Local treatment and repainting of a visible damp or previous water stain on an interior wall or ceiling.
The service is intended for areas where the original source of moisture or leakage has already been identified and corrected.
The affected area is inspected for visible surface damage before treatment begins.
Loose paint, dust and unstable surface material may be removed from the affected area where required.
The surface may be cleaned and prepared before application of an appropriate stain-blocking or isolating primer.
After the treated area has dried sufficiently, compatible interior paint is applied to restore the local finish.
One or more finish coats may be required depending on the stain, existing colour and surface condition.
Paint, primer and other consumable materials are not included unless specifically stated in the quotation.
The service does not include locating or repairing active plumbing leaks, roof leaks, façade water ingress, condensation problems or other sources of moisture.
Visible mould growth requires separate mould treatment and is not included in this service.
Loose plaster, damaged plasterboard, crumbling surfaces or extensive water damage may require additional repair before repainting.
Exact colour and texture matching cannot always be guaranteed on an aged existing painted surface. Repainting the complete wall or ceiling may be recommended where a uniform finish is required.
