The service applies to a radiator in generally sound condition with accessible surfaces suitable for repainting.
Basic preparation may include cleaning, degreasing, light sanding and removal of loose paint or minor surface rust.
Accessible surrounding surfaces are protected before painting.
Where required, a suitable primer may be applied to prepared metal surfaces before the finish coat.
The radiator is painted using a suitable coating intended for heating appliances or metal surfaces exposed to normal operating temperatures.
One or two finish coats may be applied depending on the existing colour, surface condition and selected paint system.
Paint, primer and consumable materials are not included unless specifically stated in the quotation.
Heavy corrosion, extensive flaking, deep rust, damaged metal or previous coating failure may require additional preparation and are assessed separately.
Removal of the radiator from the wall, draining of the heating system, plumbing disconnection and reconnection are not included unless specifically agreed.
Repair of leaks, valves, pipework or heating-system faults is not included.
Decorative designer radiators, unusually large units or radiators with difficult rear access may require an individual quotation.
