Steam disinfection of floors is an additional service for apartments, rental properties, houses, offices, commercial premises or short-term rental properties. It helps refresh the floor covering and reduce surface dust, odours, everyday dirt, allergens and microorganisms on accessible floor areas.
Floors are in daily contact with shoes, dust, sand, pet hair, moisture, food residue, household chemicals and outdoor dirt. Over time, signs of use, odours, sticky residue and dirt may accumulate in high-traffic areas. This is especially relevant for properties after tenants, apartments with children or pets, rental apartments, offices, entrance areas, kitchens, bathrooms and homes near the sea.
Before starting, the cleaner inspects the floor covering and assesses the floor type, condition of joints, seams, baseboards, level of soiling, presence of stains, damage, swelling, cracks, moisture marks or old chemical residue. After that, a safe steam treatment mode is selected according to the floor material and the risk of surface damage.

What is not included in the basic service
The basic service price does not include:
- Deep machine floor washing
- Floor polishing
- Floor sanding
- Restoration of protective coating
- Application of wax, oil, varnish or protective coating
- Removal of construction-related dirt
- Removal of cement, paint, glue, silicone or construction foam
- Removal of old stains that have penetrated the material
- Removal of odours from the floor base, underlay or joints
- Restoration of parquet, laminate, stone, tiles or grout
- Carpet and rug cleaning
- Treatment of walls, baseboards and furniture, unless agreed separately
- Moving heavy furniture or household appliances without prior agreement
- Medical sterilisation
- Guaranteed elimination of all bacteria, viruses, fungi, mites and allergens
- Floor treatment in cases of active mould, insects, bed bugs or unsafe sanitary condition of the property
These tasks may require separate specialised treatment, deep washing, restoration, disinfection, pest control or involvement of a specialised technician.
Important limitations
Steam treatment is not suitable for all types of floor coverings. It is best suited for moisture-resistant and heat-resistant surfaces, such as ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles and some types of stone in normal condition.
Extra care is required with laminate, parquet, wooden floors, cork, vinyl, SPC/LVT, natural stone with impregnation, old coverings, damaged joints and floors without clear information about the material. These coverings may be sensitive to steam, moisture and heat.
We do not perform steam treatment if there is a risk of swelling, deformation, delamination, loss of gloss, damage to the protective layer or moisture penetration under the covering.
Not all odours and contamination can be removed completely. If the odour is located in joints, underlay, the floor base, wooden structure, old adhesive, grout or is related to urine, mould, dampness or biological contamination, it may partially remain even after treatment.
Floors with active mould, signs of insects, bed bugs, heavy biological contamination or unsafe sanitary condition are not treated as part of the standard service. In such cases, specialised disinfection or pest control is required.
After steam treatment, the floor may need time to dry completely. Damp areas must not be immediately covered with rugs, plastic film, furniture or heavy items if the surface has not yet dried.
Our approach
We perform steam disinfection of floors according to a technical cleaning card: first, we inspect the floor covering, assess the material, condition of joints and risks, then select a safe steam mode and treat accessible areas with moisture control.
The main goal is to carefully refresh the floor and reduce surface dust, odours, allergens and everyday dirt without damaging the covering. We do not use aggressive methods and do not perform treatment if there is a high risk of damaging the floor.
Before/after photo or video confirmation is available on request, especially if the service is performed at a property without the owner present.
Payment and documents
Payment is made on site after the service: in cash or by card via payment link.
The service price is excluding VAT. If you need an official invoice, 21% VAT is added.
