Sofa vacuuming is an additional service for upholstered furniture in an apartment, rental property, house, office, guest area or short-term rental property. It helps quickly remove dry surface dirt from the sofa and prepare the furniture for further use, cleaning or professional treatment.
A sofa is in daily contact with clothing, skin, home textiles, dust, pet hair, hair, crumbs, sand and small everyday debris. Over time, dirt accumulates on seating areas, in seams, folds, between cushions, on the backrest, armrests and hard-to-reach areas. Regular dry vacuuming helps keep the sofa in a neater condition and reduces visible dust and debris.
Before starting, the cleaner inspects the sofa and assesses the upholstery type, fabric condition, seams, cushions, presence of crumbs, pet hair, dust, sand, small debris and damage. After that, a safe dry cleaning method is selected according to the material, fabric density and sofa construction.

What is not included in the basic service
The basic service price does not include:
- Sofa dry cleaning

- Steam disinfection of the sofa
- Stain removal
- Odour removal
- Removal of urine, blood, vomit, mould or biological contamination
- Deep allergen removal from the filling
- Complete removal of pet hair from deep inside the fabric and filling
- Fabric whitening
- Upholstery colour restoration
- Repairing seams, fabric, leather, eco-leather or decorative elements
- Disassembling the sofa or removing structural elements
- Moving a heavy sofa without prior agreement
- Treatment of sofas with active mould, bed bugs, insects or unsafe sanitary condition
These tasks may require separate dry cleaning, extraction cleaning, steam treatment, disinfection, pest control or repair.
Important limitations
Sofa vacuuming removes only dry surface dirt and accessible debris. It does not remove stains, ingrained odours, greasy build-up, sticky dirt, outdoor dirt, drink marks, urine, mould or deep contamination inside the filling.
Not all pet hair can be removed completely. If hair is deeply embedded in the pile, seams, folds, fabric structure or filling, separate mechanical treatment, dry cleaning or extraction cleaning may be required.
We do not guarantee a “like new” condition if the sofa is old, greasy, stained, has odours, fabric damage, pilling, faded upholstery, deformed filling or signs of long-term use.
Sofas with active mould, bed bugs, insects, heavy biological contamination or unsafe sanitary condition are not treated as part of the standard service. In such cases, specialised disinfection, pest control or furniture replacement is required.
If the fabric is very delicate, old, loose, damaged or easily pulled, the cleaner may reduce suction power, avoid using a brush or refuse to treat certain areas in order not to damage the upholstery.
Our approach
We perform sofa vacuuming according to a technical cleaning card: first, we inspect the furniture, assess the upholstery type and fabric condition, then select a suitable upholstery nozzle and carefully treat accessible surfaces, seams, folds and areas between cushions.
The main goal is to safely remove dry dust, crumbs, hair, pet hair and small debris without damaging the upholstery, seams or decorative elements. We do not use wet cleaning, chemicals or steam as part of this service unless agreed separately.
Before/after photo or video confirmation is available on request, especially if the service is performed at a property without the owner present.
Payment and documents
Payment is made on site after the service: in cash or by card via payment link.
The service price is excluding VAT. If you need an official invoice, 21% VAT is added.
By placing an order for sofa vacuuming, you agree to the offer agreement, service rules and limitations related to dry cleaning, upholstery types, removal of pet hair, dust, debris and sanitary contamination.
