The service includes a visual inspection of the boiler and accessible connections for visible signs of deterioration, leakage or abnormal operation.
Accessible internal components may be cleaned where required as part of normal preventive maintenance.
Operating checks may include ignition, burner operation, heating and domestic hot-water response, operating temperature and general boiler performance.
System pressure is checked and basic adjustments may be made where appropriate.
Accessible safety devices and controls are checked for normal operation.
The accessible flue connection, combustion-air supply and surrounding ventilation conditions are visually inspected for obvious problems.
Where appropriate for the boiler type, combustion or flue-gas measurements may be carried out using suitable test equipment.
The service does not include repair of defective components, replacement parts, major dismantling, chemical flushing of the heating system, radiator balancing or repair of the property's gas installation.
Mandatory gas installation inspections, official certificates and other regulated inspections are not included unless specifically agreed as a separate service.
If a defect affecting safe or normal operation is identified, the necessary repair and parts are quoted separately.
Gas boiler servicing is carried out by appropriately qualified or authorised personnel where required by applicable regulations.
