The service includes inspection of accessible refrigerant pipework, connections and components, diagnostic testing to locate the probable source of refrigerant loss and assessment of the required repair.
Depending on the system and fault, leak detection may include pressure testing, electronic leak detection or other appropriate diagnostic methods.
Where the leak is accessible and suitable for standard repair, the affected connection or accessible section of refrigerant pipework is repaired.
After repair, the system may be tested for leaks, evacuated where required and prepared for refrigerant recharge.
The system is then recharged with the correct refrigerant according to the equipment specification and operating requirements.
Refrigerant is not included in the base service price and is charged separately according to type and quantity required.
Valves, pipe sections, fittings, insulation and other replacement materials are not included unless specifically stated. Required parts are charged separately.
Replacement of evaporator or condenser coils, compressors, inaccessible concealed pipework or other major refrigeration components is not included and requires a separate quotation.
If additional leaks are discovered or the system cannot maintain pressure after repair, further diagnostic or repair work may be required.
Outdoor units requiring roof access, specialist height equipment or difficult access are assessed separately.
Work involving regulated refrigerants is carried out only where permitted and by appropriately certified personnel where required by local regulations.
