The service includes basic checks of the system before recharge, identification of the refrigerant type and assessment of whether refrigerant addition is appropriate.
Where required, the system may be connected to service equipment and refrigerant added according to the equipment specification and operating conditions.
The refrigerant itself is not included in the base service price and is charged separately according to the refrigerant type and quantity used.
A refrigerant shortage may indicate a leak in the system. If signs of leakage are identified, leak detection and repair may be required before or instead of recharge.
Leak detection, pressure testing beyond standard recharge procedures, repair of refrigerant pipework, replacement of valves, compressor work and other refrigeration repairs are not included and are charged separately.
The service does not include conversion of the system to another refrigerant type or modification of equipment that is not compatible with the required refrigerant.
Outdoor units requiring roof access, specialist height equipment or difficult access are assessed separately.
Work involving regulated refrigerants is carried out only where permitted and by appropriately certified personnel where required by local regulations.
