The service may include wardrobes, beds, tables, desks, shelving units, cabinets and other furniture designed for mechanical assembly.
Furniture is assessed before dismantling to determine whether it can be safely taken apart and assembled again.
Reusable screws, fittings, brackets and other removable components are kept together where possible for reassembly.
Individual furniture sections may be dismantled to reduce size and make handling or transport easier.
Reassembly is carried out at the agreed destination using the original components where they remain suitable for reuse.
The service does not include structural repair of damaged, swollen, cracked or weakened furniture.
Replacement screws, hinges, brackets, fittings, dowels and other hardware are not included unless specifically supplied for the order.
Flat-pack furniture that has previously been assembled multiple times may not always tolerate complete dismantling without damage.
Built-in furniture, fitted wardrobes, kitchens, permanently fixed units and furniture attached to walls may require separate assessment.
Furniture with electrical, plumbing, gas or other utility connections is not disconnected unless the relevant service has been separately booked.
Moving, transport, protective packing and carrying furniture between addresses are not included unless booked together with this service.
Items requiring specialist restoration, carpentry modification or custom fabrication are quoted separately.
