Replacement of 1 standard domestic consumer unit in a home, apartment or similar residential property.
The price applies where the existing circuits can be transferred to a compatible replacement board without major rewiring of the property.
The service includes isolation of the electrical supply, removal of the existing consumer unit, installation of the replacement board, reconnection of existing circuits and basic functionality testing after installation.
The customer provides the new consumer unit and required protective devices unless their supply has been agreed separately.
The replacement board and protective devices must be suitable for the existing installation, number of circuits, circuit ratings and required protection arrangement.
Consumer unit enclosure, breakers, RCDs, RCBOs, busbars, surge protection devices, cable, connectors and other components are not included unless specifically stated. Required materials are charged separately.
The service does not include complete rewiring, installation of additional circuits, replacement of damaged concealed wiring, major relocation of the consumer unit, opening or rebuilding walls, decorative restoration or correction of unrelated faults elsewhere in the electrical installation.
Testing, certification or official electrical documentation is not included unless specifically stated or required as a separate service.
If damaged conductors, inadequate circuit protection, overloaded circuits or other defects are discovered during replacement, additional corrective work may be required and will be agreed separately.
