Replacement of 1 standard electrical socket or light switch in a home, apartment, office, rental property or other premises.
The price shown applies where the existing electrical point, wiring and mounting box are accessible and suitable for the replacement unit.
The service includes isolation of the relevant circuit, removal of the existing socket or switch, installation of a compatible replacement unit and basic functionality testing after installation.
The customer provides the new socket or switch unless its supply has been agreed separately.
The replacement unit must be compatible with the existing wiring, mounting box, electrical system and intended use.
Frames, mechanisms, mounting boxes, connectors, cable and other additional materials are not included unless specifically stated. If required, they are charged separately.
The service does not include relocation of the electrical point, installation of new wiring, creation of a new circuit, opening or repairing walls, replacement of damaged concealed wiring or major modification of the electrical installation.
If damaged wiring, overheating, an unsuitable mounting box or another underlying fault is discovered during replacement, additional diagnosis or repair may be required and will be agreed separately.
